High-pressure homogenizer is a device used to homogenize liquids, commonly used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. It uses high pressure to accelerate and decelerate materials in a special homogenizing valve instantly, and breaks large particles or aggregates in the liquid into fine particles through strong shear, impact and cavitation effects, thereby achieving the effects of homogenization, emulsification, dispersion and refinement. Design and functional features

  • High-pressure system: The core part of the high-pressure homogenizer is the high-pressure pump, which pressurizes the liquid to hundreds or even thousands of bar, so that it can be processed under high pressure in the homogenizing valve. The high-pressure system ensures that the particles in the liquid are effectively broken under high-energy impact.
  • Homogenizing valve: The homogenizing valve is a key component of the high-pressure homogenizer. The liquid passes through a narrow gap in the homogenizing valve, generating strong shear and impact forces, thereby refining the particles in the liquid. The design and material of the homogenizing valve have a great influence on the homogenization effect.
  • Automatic control: Modern high-pressure homogenizers are equipped with an automated control system that can accurately adjust parameters such as working pressure, flow and temperature to meet the homogenization requirements of different materials.
  • Multi-stage homogenization: Some high-pressure homogenizers have a multi-stage homogenization function, that is, the material can pass through multiple homogenizing valves and be refined step by step, which is suitable for material processing that requires extremely high homogenization.


Working Principle

  • The working principle of the high-pressure homogenizer is to pressurize the material and pass it through the homogenizing valve to generate high shear force, cavitation effect and impact force, so as to achieve the purpose of homogenization and emulsification.
  • Pressurization stage: The liquid material is pressurized to the set working pressure (usually 100-1500 bar) by a high-pressure pump.
  • Homogenization process: The pressurized material passes through the narrow gap of the homogenizing valve, and the liquid is subjected to strong shear force, collision and cavitation effect, so that the particles in it are broken and refined.
  • Refinement and homogenization: After passing through the homogenizing valve, the particles in the liquid are dispersed to the micron or even nanometer level, and the liquid becomes more uniform and stable.

  1. High-pressure pump: Provides high-pressure driving force for liquid, usually composed of a plunger pump, capable of generating pressures of hundreds to thousands of bars.

  3. Control system: The high-precision control system can accurately control parameters such as pressure, flow, and temperature to ensure the stability of the homogenization process.
  4. Cooling system: During the high-pressure homogenization process, the liquid temperature will rise, so a cooling system is required to control the material temperature to prevent overheating from affecting the homogenization effect.
